VIRGINIA BEACH  Sue Pretlow McCann, 81, passed away Jan. 8, 2003 at Westminster Canterbury.
  Ms. McCann was born in Franklin, Va., and was the daughter of the late George Grandstaff McCann and Sue Eaton Pretlow. She was a civil service executive secretary for the U.S. Navy and retired after 33 years. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Norfolk and the Monday Club-Literary Club in Norfolk.
  Survivors include nephews, Danforth Foote McCann of Lompoc, Calif., George Grandstaff McCann III of Honolulu, Hawaii, Joseph Pretlow Savage of Alexandria, Va.,; nieces, Virginia Savage Ayers of Maryville, Tenn., Ellen Savage Bernstein of German Town, Tenn., Florence McCann of Lompac, Judith McCann Fabien of Sebastopol, Calif., Sue Ellen McCann of San Francisco, Calif.; and several great-nieces and great nephews.
  A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, in Holy Trinity Chapel at Westminster Canterbury. Burial will take place in Franklin, Va.  Memorial donations may be made to the Westminster Canterbury Foundation or a charity of the donors choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.

Ms. McCann was born in Franklin, Va., and was the daughter of the late George Grandstaff McCann and Sue Eaton Pretlow.
