SUFFOLK - David Rawls Privott, 84, of the 1000 block of Carolina Road, died Aug.2, 1999.†

††A native of Suffolk he retired from Railroad Express and A.P. Tea Co. He was a member of Liberty Spring Christian Church and was the son of the late Victor V. Privott and Cornelia Bristow Privott.
††Survivors include his wife, Hazel Askew Privott; his sons, Robert R. Privott of Harrisonburg, Va., Ted A. Privott and W. Dewey Privott, both of Suffolk, and Steven D. Privott of Herndon, Va.; a sister, Cornelia P. Spivey of Suffolk; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
††A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. today at Liberty Spring Christian Church by the Rev. Tommy Reynolds. The family will also receive friends after the service and at the residence of W. Dewey Privott, 852 Craig Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434. Contributions may be made to Liberty Spring Christian Church Memorial Fund, 4213 Whaleyville Blvd. Suffolk, Va. 23434 or to the Suffolk Nansemond Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439. Harrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

A native of Suffolk, he retired from Railway Express and A&P Tea Co. He was a member of Liberty Spring Christian Church and was the son of the late Victor V. Privott and Cornelia Bristow Privott.
