Pruden AREA SCHOOLTEACHER SUFFOLK  Judith Brothers Pruden, 72, a former schoolteacher, of the 100 block of Edgewood Drive, died May 9, 1992, in a hospital. Mrs. Pruden was born in Suffolk. She had formerly worked for the Nansemond County Schools and was a substitute teacher for the Suffolk City Schools. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was a 30 year volunteer for the Obici Hospital Auxiliary and a 30 year member and volunteer with the Suffolk chapter of the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Suffolk Library Board. She was a graduate of Madison College and was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Survivors include her husband, Peter DeWitt Pruden, Jr.; two daughters, Judith A. Pruden of New York City and Martha P. McMahon of Winnetka, Ill.; a son, Peter D. Pruden, III of Suffolk; a sister, Rachel B. Eure of Richmond; and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today in the R.W. Baker & Co.
