Eunice Pruden Bryant , 94, a longtime resident of Sedley, died April 29, 2003 at the East Pavilion. Born in Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late Mills Edward and Nancy Babb Pruden and the widow of Fenton Lee Bryant . She was a member of Hunterdale Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Edith B. Barden and Rachel B. Jones and her husband Elmore all of Suffolk; two sons, John R. Bryant and wife Opal of Virginia Beach and Fenton L. Bryant Jr. and his wife Dorothy of Colonial Heights; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three daughters, Jean B. Newsome, Lucille B. Pittman and Sandra B. Maddrey; a son, Bruce T. Bryant ; and a brother, Mills Edward Pruden Jr.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Howard L. Vinson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p .m. today at the funeral home and suggest memorials be made to a favorite charity.
