  Funeral services were held July 11 at Browning Funeral Home, Keysville, with interment in Crestview Memorial Park in South Hill.
  Mr. Puryear was the son of the late George G. and Myrtle Puryear, was a retired employee of Universal Leaf, farmer and conservationist.
  Survivors are Joyce T. Puryear; one daughter, Gail P. Clark and husband Eric Clark; three grandchildren Darrol A. Clark Logan A. Clark and Hannah W. Clark; three sisters; Helen Coffee, Hilda Reveer, Myrtle Marshall; one brother, Al Puryear; a number of nieces and nephews.
  Contributions may be made to the Charlotte County Rescue Squad.
