Hubert S. Rawlings Sr., 99, died April 13, 1992, in a hospital. 

Mr. Rawlings was born in Brunswick County, Va. He retired as manager of the commissary at Camp Manufacturing Co., after 45 years. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a member of High Street United Methodist Church and a former member of its steward board. He was the widower of Virginia Ford Rawlings. 

Survivors include a daughter, Rosalind R. Graves, and a son, Dr. Hubert Rawlings Jr., both of Franklin; a sister, Elma R. Stokes of Florence, S.C.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in High Street United Methodist Church by the Rev. John A. Siegle and the Rev. Robert D. Fridley. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Friends may join the family at 140 Beechwood Drive. 

Memorial donations may be made to the church's building fund or to a favorite charity.
