Obituary of Mills Herbert Robinson Jr. MILLS HERBERT ROBINSON JR. Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - August 11, 2001 WINDSOR - Mills H. Robinson Jr., 84, of Virginia Avenue, died Aug. 10, 2001, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. Mr. Robinson was a native of Isle of Wight County, Va., and the widower of Hilda Wills Robinson. He was founder and operator of Robinson Body Works for more than 50 years. Mr. Robinson was a member and longtime treasurer of Windsor Baptist Church. He was a member of the Windsor Ruritan Club with 53 years perfect attendance, past president and treasurer, helped organize the First Windsor Ruritan Pig Pickin, and was ``Ruritan of the Year'' twice. He served on the town council from 1949 to 1990, having served as mayor for a 27-year span from 1963 to 1990. He was on the committee that was instrumental in bringing a medical physician to the town of Windsor. He was the son of the late Mills Herbert Robinson and Mary Norfleet Robinson. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca R. and George T. Parker of Colosse, Va.; sons and daughter-in-law, M. Tommy Robinson Sr. of Portsmouth and Buddy Ray and Judy G. Robinson of Windsor, Va.; and grandchildren, Teresa Parker Vaughan, Mills T. Robinson Jr., Greg T. Parker, Alice R. Lyon, Neil A. Robinson and Alex M. Robinson. A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Tony Johnson. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery .
