Ethel Duke "Emmie" Rose, 80, of the 100 block of S. High St., died March 7, 1992, in a hospital. 

Mrs. Rose was born in Ahoskie, N.C. She was a member of Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church and the Sea Hags ladies' fishing team. She was former co-owner of the Tic Toc Repair Shop in Kitty Hawk and was co-founder of Rose Brothers jewelers. She was the widow of W.N. "Bud" Rose. 

Survivors include a sister, Maude D. Newsome of Emporia. 

The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. John A. Siegle. Friends may join the family at 116 S. High St. Wright Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
