Alma Lundquist Rountree, 85, of Route 3, a retired elementary schoolteacher, died Feb. 16, 1991, in a hospital. 

Mrs. Rountree, a native of Southampton County, retired from the Southampton County school system. She was a member of Sunbeam Baptist Church, the Retired Teachers Association and the National Education Association and was a graduate of Radford College. 

Survivors include her husband, Valon F. Rountree; and a sister, Kitty L. Drake of Florida. 

The graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Southampton Memorial Park by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. Memorial donations may be made to the church. Friends may join the family at Wright Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and other times at 31466 Verna St., Franklin.
