Mary Rowland Brooks , 75, died Aug. 11, 2002 at Southampton Memorial Hospital.

Born in South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary Rowland. She was a member of Grace Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Brooks ; a daughter, Martha Gibson and her husband Johnny of Moyock, N.C.; three grandchildren, Holly Midgett and her husband Kevin, Jenny Gibson and Scott Gibson; and a great-granddaughter, Elyse Midgett. She was predeceased by her first husband, Allen H. Bell, and a brother, James R . Rowland.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Grace Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Elizabeth VonTrapp Walker and the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends today at the residence at 16486 Johnsons Mill Road. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
