Obituary of Ethel Bunn Saunders ETHEL BUNN SAUNDERS Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, May 20, 2004 Ethel B. Saunders, 97, daughter of the late John N. Bunn and Laura A. Bunn, died May 18, 2004, at Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was born in Southampton County and was a longtime resident of Suffolk. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence A. Saunders; three sisters, Fannie Bunn, Ruby Mae Fowler, Laura E. Ferrell; and brothers, Ray A. Bunn, Edward Bunn, Jack Bunn and Bennie Bunn. Mrs. Saunders is survived by her daughter, Kathryn S. Milteer, her husband, Newman T. Milteer; sisters, Gladys Shaw and husband, Harry Shaw, Bernice Decker and husband, Clyde A. Decker; five grandchildren, Gary, Mike, Paul, Kevin Milteer and Brenda Crosby; nine great-grandchildren, Tracy L. Sapp and husband, Jason, Trina Kathryn Shuey and husband, Donald, Bryce and Lindsey Crosby, Ryan C., Thomas H., Heath Hollomon, Sarah Elizabeth and Michael John Milteer; three great-great-grandchildren, Brittany Sapp, Mikayla Sapp and Hannah Kathryn Shuey; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. God, her family, friends and work were her prescription for a long and happy life. She was a member of Holy Neck United Church of Christ, the Ladies Bible Class, Missionary Society, Box Elder Home Makers Club and was a charter member of Holland Womans Club. A funeral will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Holy Neck United Church of Christ by the Rev. Dolan A. Talbert with burial in Southampton Memorial Park , Franklin, Va.
