MARY ALICE SAUNDERS

ZUNI - Mary Alice Saunders, 55, passed away Feb. 19, 2004. Born in
Suffolk, she was the daughter of Helen Powell Saunders and the late Roy
Junius Saunders. She was a very active member of Bethany Presbyterian
Church and a member of the Believers Sunday School class.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a brother, Tommy Saunders
and wife Terry; a niece, Tobey Johnson and husband Daniel, all of Isle
of Wight County; two nephews, Chris Saunders of New York City and Joe
Saunders of Isle of Wight County; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and
dear friends.

A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Bethany Presbyterian
Church by Pastor Douglas L. Van Niel. Burial will follow in Antioch
Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family at Harrell and Hill Funeral
Home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the residence, 20204 Ruritan Drive,
Zuni, at other times. Memorial contributions may be made to the church's
memorial fund, P.O.Box 41, Zuni, VA 23898.
