Frances Johnson Scott, 73, died April 14, 1994, in Sentara Bayside Hospital. 

Mrs. Scott was a native of Southampton Co., and was formerly of Suffolk and Hopewell. She was the former manager of Simpson's Restaurant in Suffolk and was a member of Sedley Baptist Church. 
Survivors include one sister, Ruth Lois Brown of Portsmouth, and one brother, John Randolph Johnson of Suffolk. 
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley, Va., by Rev. David L. Johnson. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, has charge of arrangements.
