IVOR  Lou Jean Smith Unroe, 68, a resident of Main Street died Nov. 14, 2000, in Chesapeake General Hospital after a brief illness. Born June 23, 1932, in Logan, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles T. and Oma Frey Smith. Her husband of 22 years was the late Harry Harold Unroe, Jr.
   She was an active member of the Ivor Volunteer Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary, the Ivor Baptist Church and the WMU of the Church, the Ivor Senior Citizens Club and was past president of the Ivor PTA. 
   She is survived by a son, Tom Unroe and his wife, Linda, of South Boston; four daughters, Susie Poore and her husband, Timmy, of Amelia, Sandy Beale and her husband Mac, of Franklin, Cindy Melo and Adam Chubb of Ivor, and Letha Dickerson and her husband, Tommy, of Ivor;  nine grandchildren, Dana Howell, Neil and Erin Unroe, Tim and Chris Poore, Laura and Taylor Beale, Jae Melo, and Briar Unfoe; a great-grandson, Cody Howell; two sisters, Faye Smith Fritz and her husband, John, of Myrtle Point, Ore., and Elsie Smith LaCrosse of Kingston, Wash.; two brothers, John Smith and his wife, Shirley, of Thurman, Ohio, and Herb Smith and his wife, Rita, of Gallipolis, Ohio, and many loving nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late C.T. Smith, Betty Smith Roberts and Frances Smith Hopkins.
  A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. Steven R. Gupton. Burial will be in Ivor Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and at other times at the residence of Sandy and Mac Beale, 163 Bob White Lane, Franklin.
