Mattie Carr Snook, 91, of Archer's Mill Road, a homemaker, died July 13, 1995, in Hillhaven Nursing Home. 

She was born in Southampton County and was the widow of William Amos Snook. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Adult Bible Class. 

Survivors include two daughters, Lucy S. Bradshaw of Suffolk and Elizabeth S. Wilhide of Corapeake, N.C.; a son, Charles O. Snook of Suffolk; a sister, Mary C. Stephenson of Windsor, Va.; two brothers, J. Lonnie Carr and Raleigh L. Carr, both of Carrsville; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. 

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. B.L. Scofield. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Christian Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2400 Holland Road, Suffolk, Va. 23434, or to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439.
