Spivey, 84, of the 26500 block of Spiveytown Road, died Oct. 31, 2001, at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was the son of the late Reuben Spivey and Carrie Carr Spivey. He was also predeceased by a son, Wayne O. Spivey. He retired as a self-employed farmer and was a member of Colosse Baptist Church. The widower of Mahailey Redd Spivey, he is survived by a sister, Sarah Lowe of Walters, Va.; brother, Jack Spivey; grandson, Anthony Wayne Spivey Sr. and wife, Patricia; a great-grandson, Anthony Wayne Spivey Jr., all of Windsor; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Frances Redd Spivey and Raymond H. Spivey of Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. T.A. Powell.
