STEPHENSON The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - June 22, 1993 Eunice Dunn Stephenson, 93, a resident of Ivor for many years, died on Monday, June 21, 1993, at Commonwealth Care Center, Fairfax. Mrs. Stephenson was a native of Southampton County, the daughter of the late Thomas Everette and Roxanna Thompson Dunn. She graduated from Mary Washington College and was a former principal and teacher in Southampton County, Jamestown, and in North Carolina. She was a member of Ivor Baptist Church and served in the choir. She was also a member of the Ivor Women's Club. She was the widow of Roy Stephenson. She is survived by a daughter, Agnes Reed Sholwalter of Richmond; a son, Beverly G. Stephenson of Fairfax Station; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. Larry Burkhart. Burial will follow in Ivor Cemetery . The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friends of the family are invited to attend a reception following the burial ceremony at the Ivor Rescue Squad Building.
