Mr. Stone was born in Boyer, W.Va. He had retired from West Virginia Paper Co. and Union Camp after 47 years. After his retirement in 1975, he worked for the Franklin YMCA. He was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Helen Helmintowler Stone; a daughter, Margaret S. Vick of Franklin; a sister, Geraldine S. Halterman of Grottoes, Va.; a brother, Berlin E. Stone of Green Bank, W.Va.; and two grandchildren. The graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. today in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev.
