BLANNIE STORY TUCKER

Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - August 1, 2001 

Blannie Story Tucker, 86, died July 31, 2001. A lifetime resident of Newsoms , Mrs. Tucker was the daughter of the late Willie K. and Sallie Futrell Story and the widow of Andrew W. ``Dick'' Tucker. She was a member of Newsoms United Methodist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Tucker was an avid gardener and she loved her flowers. 

Survivors include three godsons, Tommy Crowder and wife Marilyn, Glenn Crowder and wife Carolyn, Dennis Crowder and wife Debbie, all of Newsoms ; and a brother, Aubrey T. Story of Newsoms . She was predeceased by two sisters, Bessie Newsom and Florrie Story and two brothers, Willie Story and Kinston Story. 

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hollywood Cemetery , Newsoms , by the Rev. Kenneth Williams and the Rev. Gary Hartman. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel. Memorials may be made to Newsoms United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 297, Newsoms , VA 23874.
