Mrs. Story was born in Philadelphia and was the widow of Jasper L. Story Sr. She was a former member of Ladies of the Moose and Ladies Auxiliary of Franklin Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include two sons, Jasper L. Story Jr. of Franklin and James E. Story of Ahoskie; a brother, James E. Lafferty Jr. of Cape May, N.J.; and four grandchildren. The graveside service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Kenneth Williams.
