Dolores Lafferty Story, 71, of the 700 block of Charles St., died Sept. 15, 1992, in her home. 

Mrs. Story was born in Philadelphia and was the widow of Jasper L. Story Sr. She was a former member of Ladies of the Moose and Ladies Auxiliary of Franklin Volunteer Fire Department. 

Survivors include two sons, Jasper L. Story Jr. of Franklin and James E. Story of Ahoskie; a brother, James E. Lafferty Jr. of Cape May, N.J.; and four grandchildren. 

The graveside service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. Friends may join the family at 716 Charles St. Wright Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Franklin Volunteer Fire Department or the American Cancer Society.
