Obituary of George Washington Story Jr. GEORGE WASHINGTON STORY JR. Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - December 5, 2003 George Washington Story Jr., 69, died Dec. 3, 2003, at Obici Hospital. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of the late Gladys Cutchins and George W. Story Sr. and was a Perdue chicken farmer. He was a member of Hunterdale Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Margie Silverthorne Story; three daughters, Cynthia S. Caldwell of Jacksonville, Fla., Angela S. Johnson of Newsoms and Diane S. Grauman of Gaithersburg, Md.; a son, George Wayne Story of Yale, Va.; one sister, Janet Cooke of Ahoskie, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah and Zachary Whitson, Jessica Caldwell, Avery and Olivia Story, Amy Davio and Brian and Mark Grauman. A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Howard L. Vinson Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery , Newsoms . The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
