She lived in Southampton County all her life and was the daughter of the late Hayes A. and Eva Mack Crowder. She was a member of the Newsoms Baptist Church, sang in the choir, attended the Homemakers Bible Class and the Dill Darden Circle of the church. She is survived by her husband, Aubrey T. Story; a son, Shelton T. Story and his wife, Pattie, of Drewryville; two sisters, Susie C. Lowe of Courtland, and Mildred C. Parker of Carrsville; a brother, Hayes A. Crowder of Newsoms; two grandchildren, Wesley S. Story and Mason A. Story. She was the sister of the late Edward T. Crowder Sr. A graveside service will be held at Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms, at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Kenneth Williams and the Rev. Patricia Tony. The family will receive friends at Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to Newsoms Baptist Church.
