Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Edna Johnson Story; three daughters, Loretta Surace and her husband, Phillip, of Courtland, Connie Williams and her husband, Jay, Sylvia Owens and her husband, Bo, all of Franklin; five grandchildren, Ken Barnes, Steven Barnes, Jayson Williams, J.T. Surace and Megan Owens. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Dr. M. Reginald Warren officiating. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and suggests that memorials be made to Sycamore Baptist Church, 31120 Sycamore Church Road, Franklin, VA 23851.
