Swartz, 92, of Pretlow Road, a retired lime kiln operator, died April 13, 1992, in a Courtland nursing home. Mr. Swartz was born in Wood County, Ohio. He had retired from Kelly Island Lime Plant, Clay Center, Ohio. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Courtland. Survivors include a daughter, Beatrice C. Bryant of Franklin; a son, Bernard H. Swartz of Chicago; three sisters, Katie Dalling and Pearlie Kruse, both of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Hazel Kruse of Gibsonburg, Ohio; a brother, Harry Swartz of Toledo, Ohio; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Grace Lutheran Church by the Rev. Gary LeCroy and the Rev. Willetta Heising. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Wright Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the church.
