Born in Southampton County, he was a son of the late Roy G. Tomlin Sr. and Louise Bradshaw Tomlin. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Hunterdale Baptist Church and an independent truck driver. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Glenda Barrett Tomlin; two sons, Roy Greg Tomlin of Charlottesville and Michael Haywood Tomlin of Zuni; a granddaughter, Brooke Tomlin; a sister, Barbara T. Warren and her husband, Charles, of Franklin; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn D. Tomlin of Carrsville, Joyce Taylor of Eure, N.C., and Joan Sobotor of Zuni; two brothers-in-law, Tyrone Barrett and Troy Barrett, both of Zuni; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Wayne B. Tomlin. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hunterdale Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard L. Vinson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery.
