Obituary of Value JANIE BRYANT GRIFFIN Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, November 4, 2006 FRANKLIN - Janie Bryant Griffin, 79, died Nov. 3, 2006, at her residence. A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late John Lewis (Jack) and Kate Coggsdale Bryant. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and former co-owner and operator of the Community Market in Franklin. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, James Lee Griffin Sr.; two daughters, Linda G. Woulf and husband Bob and Judy G. Lambdin, all of Franklin; one son, James L. Griffin Jr. of Chester; three sisters, Irma Howard, Jackie McGhee and Bobbie Babb, all of Franklin; four grandchildren, Jessica and Jennifer Woulf and Tripp and Anna Lambdin; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Griffin was predeceased by two sisters, Gladys Whalin and Evelyn Howard. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Roger Crump officiating. Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and suggests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
