Anne Vaughan Farmer, 74, of the 400 block of N. High St., died July 17, 1997.
Mrs. Farmer was born in Southampton County, the daughter of the late Lawson Roy and Grace Crumpler Vaughan. She had retired from Union Camp Corp. where she was a sales service secretary for 11 years and an executive secretary for 20 years. She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack B. Farmer; a daughter, Fran F. Waller and her husband, Marc; two grandchildren, Sarah Ann Waller and Elizabeth Vaughan Waller; and a nephew, David Lawson Broadbent of Boston. She was predeceased by a sister, Frances V. Broadbent.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Edward Johnson. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and suggests that memorials be made to High Street United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 218, Franklin, Va. 23851.
