She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church, Order of Eastern Star 128, Franklin Women's Club and Walter Cecil Rawls Library and Museum. She was a graduate of the Webb School of Business. Survivors include three sisters, Sara V. Darden of Windsor, Eddie Mae V. Woods of Norfolk and Maggie L. Vaughan of Franklin.
