COURTLAND - Dorothy Boothe Vick, 91, died May 10, 2001, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. 

Born in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Orie Boothe and the widow of George Barron Vick Jr. Mrs. Vick was a homemaker, a former teacher and a member of Millfield Baptist Church. 

Survivors include a son-in-law, Harold Owen of Courtland; two grandchildren, Grayson Owen and his wife, Tambra, of Richmond, George Owen and his wife, Laura, of Lynchburg; and a great-grandchild, Meredith Anne Owen. She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Vick Owen. 

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Steve McGlamery officiating. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and suggests that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, Regional Office, 2 Hanover Square, Suite 1600, 434 Fayetteville St. Mall, Raleigh, NC 27601.
