WALTERS - William James "J.J." Wade, Jr., 31, died Jan. 26, 2004. He was
born in Suffolk and, together with his father, operated Walters Tree
Service. J.J. Loved riding his Harley and NASCAR.

Survivors include his mother, Diane Craddock and her husband Thomas of
Walters; his father, William James Wad Sr. and his wife Connie of
Smithfield; two sons, Brandon Scott Wade and William James "Jamie" Wade,
III< both of Walters; a stepdaughter, Nicole Newsoms of Roanoke Rapids,
N.C.; a sister, Michael Wade of Smithfield; two stepsisters, Candie
Shirley of Newport News and Misty Sutton of Chesapeake; four
stepbrothers, Jody Hall of Smithfield, Thomas Smithson Jr. and Clint
Smithson, both of Chesapeake, and Michael Smithson of Oklahoma City.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Uzzell Cemetery
with the Rev. Kay Barstow Gentry officiating. The family will receive
friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin. In
lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to help provide for his
children and should be sent to P.O. Box 98, Carrsville, Va. 23315.
