Obituary of Charles Henry Ward Jr. CHARLES HENRY WARD JR. Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, November 3, 2003 Charles Henry "C.H." Ward Jr., 18, went to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, after a long one-year battle with cancer. He was born in Franklin, Nov. 12, 1984. C.H. was a 2003 graduate of Southampton High School, a member of the Courtland Fire Department, and a huge lover of NASCAR racing and farming. He was an avid hunter and an honorary member of Davis Ridley Hunt Club, Virginia Deer Hunters Association and the Sons of the Confederacy. C.H. is survived by his parents, Charles and Shelby Ward; a sister, Tina Taylor and her husband Christopher; his maternal grandmother, Ella D. Jenkins of Suffolk; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, B.H. and Mildred Ward of Courtland and Raymond Jenkins of Suffolk. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Riverside Cemetery in Courtland .
