Ethel Arnold Weiss, 59, of Main Street, died Feb. 16, 1992, in a Norfolk hospital.  
Mrs. Weiss was born in Philadelphia. She was a member of Boykins United Methodist Church.  
Survivors include her husband, Joseph G. Weiss Jr.; two daughters, Nancy W. Nemecek of Richmond and Patricia W. Thompson of Courtland; two sisters, Betty R. Bakeoven of Cornwell Heights, Pa., and Dorothy A. Buck of Moody, Ala.; and four grandchildren.  
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Boykins United Methodist Church by the Rev. Donna Marie Foos. Burial will be in the Beechwood Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in McDowell Funeral Home.  
Memorial donations may be made to the church or to a favorite charity.
