Mrs. Mildred Beale Whitley, 83, died Saturday, May 21, 1994 in Southampton Memorial Hospital. 

Mrs. Whitley was a native of Southampton County and was the widow of P.A. Whitley. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. 

Survivors include one son, Wilbur R. Drewry of Carrsville; two step daughters, Elsie Lee Niedermayer and Willie Mae Hall, both of Georgia; two sisters, Bernice Langston of Franklin and Edith Senter of Virginia Beach; one brother, Ocie Beale of Burdette; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, May 23, 1994, in Beaver Dam Baptist Church by Dr. Richard Peerey. The burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Drewry, 29403 Holly Run Drive, Carrsville, and suggests memorial donations be made to Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Wright Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
