Obituary of Frances Ferguson Williams FRANCES FERGUSON WILLIAMS Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - July 28, 2001 Frances Ferguson Williams, 89, a former resident of Murfreesboro, died at her residence in Beeville, Texas, on July 27, 2001. Mrs. Williams, who was born in Spartanburg, S.C., was a daughter of the late Rueben H. and May Allene Grier Ferguson and the widow of Marion Eugene Williams. A retired teacher and homemaker, she was a member of First United Methodist Church of Murfreesboro and St. Philip's Episcopal Church of Beeville. Survivors include a son, Marion E. Williams Jr. and wife, Lucy, of Beeville; two grandchildren, Elizabeth G. Williams of Austin, Texas and Marion E. Williams III of Beeville; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 5 p.m. Monday in Poplar Spring Cemetery , Franklin, with the Rev. Tom Caulkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge of local arrangements.
