Lonie Drake Williams, 74, of Main Street, died April 8, 1991, in a Hopewell hospital. 

Mrs. Williams, a native of Newsoms , had retired from W.S. Peebles Department Stores. She was the widow of Jimmie Ryan Williams and was a member of Barnes United Methodist Church and the Statesville Home Demonstration Club. 

Survivors include a daughter, Ann W. Gephart of New Kent; a son, Gerald S. Williams of Courtland; a sister, Virginia D. O'Berry of Boykins; a brother, Willie T. Drake Sr. of Newsoms ; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. 

The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hollywood Cemetery by the Rev. Charlene Beethoven. Friends may join the family at the home of Gerald S. Williams, Captain John Road, Courtland. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is handling arrangements. 

Memorial donations may be made to the church, P.O. Box 235, Newsoms , Va. 23874.
