Obituary of Robert C. Wood ROBERT C. WOOD Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - August 1, 2003 Robert C. Wood, 70, a resident of Capron, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Hunter McGuire Veteran's Hospital, Hospice Unit, Richmond, Va. Born in Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Dewey S. Wood and Lottie Teal Wood. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict; was a retired driver for Burgess Trucking Co.; and was a member of Capron Baptist Church, Capron. Mr. Wood had lived in Virginia since 1976 with his wife, Edna Kimmell Wood, and is also survived by two daughters, Annette Holt and Angela Everding, both of Capron; three sons, Gary Wood of Joyner, Scott Wood of Capron and David Wood of Courtland; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Herman Wood of Rochester, N.Y., and Douglas Wood of Pennsylvania; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two daughters, Donna Darlene Wood and Patricia Ann Wood. A funeral will be held at Capron Baptist Church, Capron, Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Keith Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Capron Cemetery .
