Anna Jones Baker Woolard, 80, died July 23, 1998. 

She was the daughter of the late Alex and Sue Keel Jones, and the widow of J. Handy Woolard. Mrs. Woolard was retired from Hancock Peanut Co. and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Baker Best and her husband, Ervin, of Williamsburg and Lucille Baker Bennett of Franklin; two sons, William Edgar Baker and his wife, Clara, of Chester, Va., and Sidney Vereen Baker of Franklin; six grandchildren, Sheila Tawney, Lisa Edwards, Ervin Best II, Scott Baker, Sherry Hornok and Keith Bennett; and five great-grandchildren, Justin, Heather, Amanda, Jessica and Robbie. She was predeceased by her first husband, Pearley Vereen Baker. 

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and suggest that memorial donations be made to the American Lung Association.
