She was the daughter of the late Alex and Sue Keel Jones, and the widow of J. Handy Woolard. Mrs. Woolard was retired from Hancock Peanut Co. and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Baker Best and her husband, Ervin, of Williamsburg and Lucille Baker Bennett of Franklin; two sons, William Edgar Baker and his wife, Clara, of Chester, Va., and Sidney Vereen Baker of Franklin; six grandchildren, Sheila Tawney, Lisa Edwards, Ervin Best II, Scott Baker, Sherry Hornok and Keith Bennett; and five great-grandchildren, Justin, Heather, Amanda, Jessica and Robbie. She was predeceased by her first husband, Pearley Vereen Baker. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and suggest that memorial donations be made to the American Lung Association.
