Aubrey Harrell Worrell, Sr., age 71, a resident of Broadwater Road, Ivor, died Friday, December 31, 1993, at his home. He was a native of Southampton County and was the son of the late Benjamin Robert and Helen Horne Worrell. He was a member of the Tucker Swamp Baptist Church and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of the church. He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara O'Berry Worrell; a son, Timothy James Worrell, Ivor; two daughters; Joyce W. Alphin, Chesapeake, and Tammy W Edwards, Windsor; a brother Fenton H Worrell, Ivor and five grandchildren; Mark & Everett Alphin, Travis and Ashley Worrell and Jessica Edwards. He was father of the late Aubrey Harrell Worrell, Jr.
A funeral service will be help on Monday, January 3, 1994 at 11 am at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, Zuni, by the Rev. Steve Bradshaw and Rev. J. Waverly Horne. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Their family will receive friends at the Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield today form 7 to 8:30 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the "Together We Grow" building fund of the church, or a rescue squad of your choice.
