Obituary of Audrey Russell Wright AUDREY RUSSELL WRIGHT Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, December 20, 2003 Audrey Russell Wright, 90, died Dec. 19, 2003, at Britthaven of the Outer Banks, Nags Head. A native of Norfolk, she was a daughter of the late Richard H. and Nancy Olivia Morris Russell and the widow of David Owen "Preacher" Wright. Mrs. Wright was a member of Franklin Baptist Church and its Kings Servant Sunday school class. She served as president of the Virginia Home Demonstration Club and worked with the Southampton County and Franklin Demonstration Clubs. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Sue Wright of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; a son, David Owen "Dick" Wright Jr. of Bath, N.C.; five grandchildren, De Anne W. Reifer, Barry Wright, Susan Wright, Charles Jeffery Turner and Stacy Lee Turner; and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Southampton Memorial Park , with the Rev. Dr. Ira D. Hudgins officiating. The family suggests memorial be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 900 Commonwealth Place, Suite 101, Virginia Beach, VA 23464. Wright Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
