FRANKLIN - Betty Wright Hamlett, 64, died Feb. 22, 2005, at Obici
Hospital. A native of Suffolk, Betty was the daughter of the late
William Thomas and Evelyn King Wright and was a secretary for 38 years
with the Peanut Growers Co-op. She was a member of Holy Neck Christian
Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jesse Clinton "J.C." Hamlett Jr.; a
daughter, Jennifer H. Jernigan and husband Tommy Jernigan II; a brother,
Mack T. Wright and wife Brenda of Suffolk; three grandchildren, "T.J."
Jernigan IV, Jesse B. Jernigan and William P. Jernigan; a nephew,
Christopher B. Wright and wife Trina of Williamsburg; a niece, Monica W.
Eubank and husband Carey of Richmond; and a grand-nephew, Tanner T.
Wright.
