Obituary of Lois Keeter Young LOIS KEETER YOUNG Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, October 8, 1999 Lois Keeter Young, 71, of the 28400 block of Walters Highway, died Oct. 5, 1999, at her residence. A native of Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Lee Keeter Sr. and Rosetta Perry Deeds. She was the widow of Harry D. Young. She retired as an executive secretary for Virginia Department of Agriculture and Commerce. She was a member of Windsor Christian Church and attended the Martha S. Persons Sunday School class and the Circle 2 of the Women's Fellowship. She was also a member of the Suffolk Women's Golf Association; Cypress Cove Country Club, Franklin; The Eastern Star Franklin Chapter No. 128; The 99's Women's Pilot Association and the Elizabeth Montfort Ashe Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Y. and John G. Cobb Jr. of Portsmouth, and Karen Y. and Vincent W. Norako Jr. of Williamsburg; grandchildren, John G. Cobb III, Pvt. Cristin A. Cobb, Leila K. Norako, Mary J. Norako and Vincent R. Norako; sisters, Margaret Kakie Bowden of Carrsville and Phyllis K. Story of Edenton, N.C.; a brother, Phillip Lee Keeter Jr. of Virginia Beach; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Keeter Young. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Windsor Christian Church by the Rev. Basil Ballard. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
