Darlene Hogue Alexander Obituary Darlene Hogue Alexander, 64, of Suffolk VA went to be with the Lord on December 13, 2021. Born on March 4, 1957, she was the daughter of the late James Elmer Hogue, Jr. and Elenor Goodrich Muche. Darlene retired from Suffolk Public Schools in 2021. She loved her family and loved her grandbabies with all her heart. She also loved being on the water, history, animals and traveling. Darlene was a devoted wife, mother, and Emme. She is survived by her husband of nearly 47 years, Gary L. Alexander; children Gary L. Alexander Jr. and Jenny E. A. Spalding; grandchildren Mila Alexander, Talia Alexander and Reid Spalding; siblings Clay Hogue, Tonia Sealey, and Janet Harris (Waylon) and many brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 7PM at R. W. Baker & Company Funeral Home and Crematory, Bennetts Creek Chapel. Pastor Walker will officiate the service.
