John William Beale John William Beale, 80, uncle of several Newport News residents, died Friday night [19 Mar, 1954] in the home of a daughter in Penns Grove, N. J. after six weeks illness. He was a native of Franklin and had lived in New Jersey for one year. He was a carpenter. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Harcum of Penns Grove: a son. John William Beale Jr., of Norfolk: a sister, Mrs. Walter Brett of Como, N. C.:.eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P. M. Monday 22 Mar, 1954 in New Hope Methodist Church, near Como. Burial will be in the church cemetery,.
