Mills Beale Succumbs At Home Near Franklin Mills Beale Sr 12 Feb 1859 - 22 Apr 1939 FRANKLIN - Mills Beale, 80, well-known farmer of this county, died Saturday morning at his home near Franklin after an illness of a few months. Mr. Beale had made this county his home all his life and was the son of Harrison and Tabitha Johnson Beale. He was a member of Joyner's Christian Church near Franklin. He is survived by three sons, Emmette of Sedley, Irving of Richmond and Mills Beale Jr. of Franklin; three daughters, Mrs. Walter Cobb of Sedley, Mrs. Joseph Cutchins of Franklin and Mrs. L. A. Blythe of Suffolk: nine grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P. M. Sunday at Joyner's Church by Rev. R. E. Brittle, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Wilkins of Courtland. Interment will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin.
