WINDSOR - Elisha Isaac Benton, 78, 15 E. Griffin St., died Monday [3 May 1982] in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. Born in Gates County, N.C. he was a retired guard for National Screen Co. Inc., Suffolk. 

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sadie Darden Benton; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Faye Britt of Wakefield and Mrs. Patricia Ann Ellis and Mrs. Glenda Gail Smith, both of Suffolk; four sons, Isaac Milton Benton of the Whaleyville area of Suffolk, William Russell Benton and Marvin Earl Benton, both of Windsor, and David Edwin Benton of Fort Knox, Ky.; and six grandchildren. 

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday [6 May 1982] in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Steve Weed and the Rev. Alan Johnson. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 tonight [5 May 1982] at the funeral home. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Windsor Rescue Squad.
