She was a native of Como and had resided here for the past 20 years. She is the daughter of the late James A. and Rosalie Worrell Bittle and was a member of the Fairview Heights Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Gibson of Portsmouth and Esther Marie Neblett of Norfolk; two brothers, Rubin Bittle of Franklin and J. Glynn Bittle of Portsmouth; and several nieces and nephews. The body was removed to the Snellings Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Fairview Heights Baptist Church, Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
