JAMES ROBERT BLYTHE JAMES R. BLYTHE James Robert Blythe, 83, a lifelong resident of Southampton County, died in Raiford Memorial Hospital on Tuesday night, March 25. The deceased was the husband of the late Nettie Joyner Blythe and son of the late Jesse D. and Mary Jane Blythe. He was a member of Bethel Friends Meeting. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. J. E. Harrison and Mrs. Kate Saunders of Norfolk, Mrs. W. Graham Atkins and Mrs. Herman Cobb of Franklin, Mrs. Claude Dunn of Prince George County, and Mrs. Morris Clements of Brandon; six sons, Bernard and Herman Blythe of Franklin, Ashby and Howard Blythe of Norfolk, Claude W. Blythe of Richmond, and Percy Blythe of Hopewell; a brother, Ben Blythe of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. Frank V. Blythe and Mrs. Charles M. Blythe of Franklin; a half-sister, Mrs. Aldine Duck of Carrsville; a half-brother, de Brodenave Blythe of Franklin; 28 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. Services for Mr. Blythe were held this (Thursday) afternoon at 4:30 o'clock in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland and Sons, with Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church, and Rev. Joe A.
