FRANKLIN—Mrs. Mary Blythe Joyner, 97, of Route 2, died Sunday in Southampton Memorial Hospital.  

She was a native of Southampton County and the widow of Jay Gould Joyner Sr. She was the oldest member of Hunterdale United Church of Christ.  

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Eunice J. Madron and Mrs. Mary J. Hasty of Franklin, and Mrs. Alma J. Drake of Newsoms; a son, Jay Gould Joyner Jr. of Franklin; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.  

A funeral will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. R.E. Brittle. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
