"Praise God, Praise God, I am at home, finally, I am home." Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 49 years, Brenda Ward Bradshaw; brother, Richard H. "Dickie" Bradshaw of Virginia Beach; aunt, Ann "Tootie" Peters of Grandy, NC; uncle, Burton C. Bradshaw and wife Ray of Franklin, VA; stepfather, Thomas H. Birdsong, III of Whitestone, VA, and a host of other relatives and friends. "Tres" or "Brad" was born in Franklin, VA on June 6, 1944, as son of the late Elmer A. Bradshaw, II, and Constance Peters Birdsong. A Gunnery Sergeant, he served in the Marine Corps for 12 years and was a Vietnam veteran. Tres was a graduate of Tarleton State University (A&M), Stephenville, TX. An avid golfer, Tres was the former head golf coach at North Greenville University, Tigerville, SC, where he was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame, where he built a winning tradition that has continued. He was a former volunteer Assistant Golf Coach at Furman University, Greenville, SC and a former Head Golf Coach at Southern Wesleyan University in Greenville, SC. He was especially thankful that God enabled him to share the gospel with many lost souls and personally pray with many who chose to surrender their life to Christ. A memorial service will be held at 7 PM, Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Wright Funeral Home, 206 W. Fourth Ave., Franklin, VA. Mr. Ralph Smith, Brother in Christ, will be officiating the service.
