A native of Sedley and longtime resident of Franklin, he was a son of the late Eddie N. Bulls, Sr. and Minnie Stieh Bulls. He was also predeceased by two brothers, E. N. Bulls, Jr. and James Alton Bulls, Sr., and two sisters-in-law, Madeline Bulls and Kathleen Bulls. Gene was a 1961 graduate of Southampton High School and an Army veteran. He was retired from the Sheet Finishing Department at Union Camp. He is survived by a son, Gene Donald Bulls, Jr.; two daughters, Letitia Lynn Austin and Donna Jean Story (Hunt); two sisters, Nancy Pheiffer (Leroy) and Sue Early (Milton); three brothers, Dr. Bob Bulls, Jack Bulls (Judy), and Hugh Bulls; one granddaughter, Reba C. Ricks; eight great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
